SYRACUSE – The College of Saint Rose rallied with three, fourth quarter goals although by then host Le Moyne had put itself in control with a 5-0 lead en route to a 6-3
Northeast-10 Conference victory against the Golden Knights this afternoon. The Dolphins, who are ranked #5 in the most recent
USILA Poll, also gained a valuable point to take a 6.5 – 6.0 lead in the year-long
"Upstate Challenge" rivalry series between the two schools.
Overall, Le Moyne (10-2/7-2 NE-10) manufactured a 40-24 shot advantage and won nine of 13 faceoff opportunities to run its home record to 7-0 this spring.

John Zullo scored twice and junior attack
Brett McAuliffe connected with his team-leading 26th goal of the year for Saint Rose (3-10/3-6 NE-10). Also, junior goalie
Nick Longo recorded 15 saves and sophomore defenseman
Dan Southard came up with a team-high four groundballs.
Junior midfielder Andrew Chadderdon had two goals and an assist while senior attack Nate Frechette added a strike and set up another pair to pace the Dolphins.
Le Moyne scored once in the first quarter and then struck three times in the final 7:36 of the second to take a 4-0 halftime lead. After a scoreless third quarter, Chadderdon found the back of the net in the opening eight seconds of the fourth to make it 5-0 Le Moyne.
Zullo broke through for Saint Rose with an unassisted goal less than two minutes later. Chadderdon then set up senior attack Tyler Prevost to once again afford the Dolphins a five-goal lead. McAuliffe and Zullo subsequently struck 30 seconds apart midway through the period to close out the scoring.
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights return home Saturday for a 1:00 pm NE-10 date with Assumption. Meanwhile, the Dolphins have a 1:00 pm league game Saturday as well. They will face Southern New Hampshire in Manchester, NH.
