Box Score BRIARCLIFFE, NY – The College of Saint Rose recovered from an early deficit to upend host
Northeast-10 Conference rival Pace University 3-1 this afternoon.
The Golden Knights(7-0-1/5-0-1 NE-10), the nation's top-ranked team in the most recent
NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Top-25 Poll, controlled the pace throughout the final 88 minutes. They subsequently engineered a 24-8 shot advantage, including a 10-4 edge in shots-on-target, and a 9-4 differential in corner kicks to remain the conference's only unbeaten squad.
The host Setters (3-3-3-/3-2-1 NE-10) struck in the opening two minutes, but junior midfielder
Sydney Bond extended her goal scoring streak to three matches with the game-winner at the 76:16 mark after junior forward
Carmelina Puopolo tied it before halftime with 41:54 elapsed. Freshman midfielder
Michaela Phillips then added an insurance tally by converting a header in the final four minutes.

Jessica Gerski recorded three saves to post the win. Her goals-against-average now stands at a microscopic 0.29.
As for Pace, senior midfielder Olivia Mapplethorpe threw a scare at Saint Rose by putting the Setters up 1-0 in the early going. Senior keeper Courtany Hagen came up with seven saves, including five in the second half, to keep her team within striking distance.
Looking ahead, both squads have home league dates on their docket for Saturday. Saint Rose will host Saint Michael's at 12:00 pm, while Pace will entertain Bentley at 3:30 pm.
