The Plot: The College of Saint Rose welcomes Southern New Hampshire for a key Northeast-10 Conference match this afternoon.

Last Meeting (9/11/11): After a scoreless first half, Saint Rose rattled off three unanswered goals in the first 30 minutes of the second half en route to a 3-1 victory in Manchester, NH.  Sophomore forward Brittany Barry put in the first two while junior midfielder Laura Taylor added the insurance marker.  Danielle Quinlan scored in the final minute for the Penmen. 

Scouting #1 Saint Rose (4-0/2-0 NE-10):  A goal by freshman midfielder Amanda Vasquez in the 89th minute gave Saint Rose a 3-2 victory against visiting Le Moyne on Wednesday.  Junior forward Carmelina Puopolo assisted on the game-winner after adding a goal earlier in the match.  Freshman midfielder Nicole Shively also contributed a goal and an assist.  The win gave Saint Rose the first points in the 2012-13 “Upstate Challenge” rivalry series.  Puopolo subsequently pushed her league-high point total to 17 with five goals and seven assists. Freshman midfielder Kristin Carr is also in double figures behind 10 points on four goals and a pair of helpers.

Scouting Southern N.H. (4-1/2-1 NE-10): The Penmen have been involved in three overtime games this season, going 2-1 in those scenarios.  The latest was Wednesday's 2-1 OT victory at UMass Lowell. Senior midfielder Kaleigh Roberge netted both goals, including the game-winner in the 96th minute.  Roberge has a team-high nine points behind four goals and one assist on the year.

Honoring the National Champions: The 2011 National Championship Team will be honored during a brief pregame ceremony today.

Congratulations Renae: Congratulations to assistant coach Renae Ransdell (2001-04) who will be inducted into the Saint Rose Athletics Hall of Fame tonight along with four other outstanding individuals.

Up Next: Saint Rose returns home this Tuesday when conference foe Adelphi travels to Albany.  Kickoff is set for 5:30 pm. That game is scheduled to be webcast www.gogoldenknights.tv.  Southern N.H. returns home Tuesday as well for a 7:00 pm NE-10 date with Merrimack.
