ALBANY - The College of Saint Rose is set to conclude its five-game homestand this afternoon when the Golden Knights play host to Roberts Wesleyan College. Game time is set for 1:00 pm from Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex.

LAST TIME OUT
Mercy outscored Saint Rose 6-1 throughout the first 30 minutes that negated a strong second half by the Golden Knights and allowed the Mavericks to chalk up their fifth straight victory behind a 10-6 final Wednesday night at Sullivan Field. The Golden Knights outshot Mercy by a 33-30 margin, but the Mavericks controlled that category by a 20-11 differential throughout the initial 30 minutes and also won 11 of 19 faceoff opportunities on the evening. Sophomore attackman Brett McAuliffe scored three times to lead Saint Rose. Freshman midfielder Kris Miller finished with a goal and an assist, while freshman attackman Kevin Fleming and junior attackman Rich Bamberger added one strike each. Sophomore goalkeeper Nick Longo wound up with nine saves.

SCOUTING SAINT ROSE (4-4)
The Golden Knights have won four of their last six heading into today. Three of their four losses this year have come at the hands of top-six opponents. Saint Rose has surrendered a mere 8.3 goals per-game throughout its four victories as opposed to 13.0 goals during its four setbacks. McAuliffe, Fleming and Bamberger have all reached twin-figures in goals thus far. McAuliffe leads the way with 21 goals and four assists for 25 points. Fleming has chalked up 13 goals and five helpers for 18 points, while Bamberger is on his heels with 17 points via 11 goals and six assists. Longo (4-4) averages 11.8 saves per-game on a regular basis, which ranks eighth nationally (Division II). He has made 94 saves and owns a .525 save percentage. Freshman midfielder Ryan McFee has won 56.7 percent (51-of-90) of his faceoff attempts thus far.

SCOUTING ROBERTS WESLEYAN (2-5)
The Raiders snapped a mild two-game skid with a 13-9 win versus Medaille College nine days ago. Roberts Wesleyan is still in search of its first road victory of the season (0-4). Conversely, the Raiders have gone 2-1 at home. Freshman midfielder David Smith is one of three players who have hit twin-figures in goals thus far. Smith has a team-best 18 goals to go along with five assists for 23 points. Meanwhile, junior attackman Colin Cornaire paces the club with 26 points on 17 goals and nine assists. Sophomore goalie Matt Hamilton (2-5) has played all but six minutes between the pipes. He averages 11.4 saves per-outing and owns a .506 save percentage. Freshman midfielder Anthony Nucci Lauria has an impressive .645 faceoff win percentage having grabbed 100-of-155 chances thus far.

Saint Rose returns to action Tuesday when the Golden Knights head to #10 Saint Anselm College. Game time is set for 4:00 pm from Manchester, NH. Meanwhile, Roberts Wesleyan heads to Dominican College Wednesday for a 4:00 pm start.
