Scouting Saint Rose (6-6)
A win this afternoon would allow the Golden Knights to post a winning season, which would provide a fitting conclusion to their inaugural campaign. Five of the squad's six losses this year have come at the hands of top-10 opponents. Saint Rose has surrendered a mere 7.7 goals per-game throughout its six victories as opposed to 13.5 goals during its six setbacks. The Golden Knights have gone 4-2 at home this year where they have outscored their opponents by a 64-55 margin. Sophomore attackman
Brett McAuliffe and Fleming lead an offense that has seen 14 different players find the scoring column. McAuliffe has 35 points on 29 goals and six assists. He is 14th in the country (Division II) behind 2.4 goals per-game. Fleming has chalked up 24 goals and 10 helpers for 34 points. Miller (14g, 10a), junior attackman
Rich Bamberger (13g, 10a) and senior midfielder
Joe Pompo (11g, 10a) have also reached double-digits in both goals and assists at this juncture. Longo (6-6) averages 10.9 saves per-game on a regular basis, which ranks seventh nationally.
Scouting American Int'l (0-13)
The Yellow Jackets are coming off of a 12-5 loss versus Bentley University on Wednesday. The offense has sputtered a bit throughout the 2012 slate as AIC has produced no more than eight goals in a game this year. The Yellow Jackets are averaging just 5.7 goals per-game. Conversely, their opponents are scoring at a 15.6 gpg clip. Freshman attackman Bryce Serriello and sophomore attackman Nick Amendt have carried a bulk of the scoring production thus far. Serriello is currently second in the Northeast-10 Conference with 32 goals. He is also ninth in points (38). Meanwhile, Amendt has chalked up 19 tallies. Senior goalie Eric Whettell has played in all 13 games between the pipes. He is second in the league with 138 saves.
