Box Score ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose struck early and never looked back en route to an 8-0 non-conference victory versus Mercy College tonight at Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex. Nine different players figured in the scoring for the Golden Knights (9-0-1), who are ranked #9 for the third consecutive week in the
NSCAA/Continental Tire Division II National Poll.
Saint Rose jumped out to a 4-0 lead with less than 13 minutes elapsed and then tacked on four more strikes after intermission. The Golden Knights dictated the pace throughout the contest that allowed them to manufacture a 26-2 shot advantage, including a 16-2 differential in on-target threats. They also produced six corner kicks, without yielding any.

Christina Cuffari finished what held up as the game-winner when she touched a home a pair of quick passes from sophomore forward
Carmelina Puopolo and sophomore midfielder
Sydney Bond. Cuffari also helped set up another goal to extend her school record to 30 career assists. Puopolo ran her scoring streak to six contests with a pair of markers along with two helpers, while freshman forward
Brittany Barry elevated her nation best goal scoring total to 13 with the game's third strike.

Looking ahead, the Golden Knights return to conference action Saturday when Stonehill visits Sullivan Field. Kickoff is set for approximately 2:30 pm as part of
Homecoming Festivities. Mercy also gets back on the pitch Saturday for a noon East Coast Conference tilt against visiting St. Thomas Aquinas in Westchester County.
