FORT LAUDERDALE – The College of Saint Rose allowed a 5-0 lead to evaporate as host Nova Southeastern scored a run in the fifth and seven more in the sixth to complete a sweep of the Golden Knights with an 8-5 victory in the finale of today's doubleheader. The Sharks (10-6) earlier broke apart a 7-2 ballgame by pushing across nine runs in the fifth inning to take the opener 18-5.

Doug Dulin allowed two runs on six hits and fanned four throughout 5.0 frames of the 7.0 inning nightcap. Senior right fielder
Garret Keenan went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI to pace the Saint Rose (0-3) offense. Junior second baseman

Brian Maynard had two hits apiece.
For Nova Southeastern (10-6), senior shortstop Luis Pennate and junior third baseman Ray Navarro pounded out two hits each.
In the opener, sophomore
Carlos Fermin belted a two-run pinch hit homer in the eighth inning and senior left fielder
Ryan Price went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI to lead the Golden Knights. Meanwhile, Pennate slammed a two-run home run and had an RBI base hit to pace the Nova Southeastern attack.
Looking ahead, Saint Rose opens up at the
Palm Beach Challenge tomorrow with a pair of games in Lantana, FL. The Golden Knights will meet Felician at 11:00 am, and will then face Bloomfield at 2:30 pm. Meanwhile, the Sharks are off until Tuesday when they will host Southern New Hampshire at 6:00 pm.
