LANTANA, FL – The College of Saint Rose rallied with three runs in the bottom of the ninth to take home a 6-5 victory against Philadelphia University after the Rams had snapped a 3-3 tie with two runs in the top of the frame on Saturday.
Senior outfielder
Garret Keenan delivered the game-winning hit with an RBI single. Keenan wound up 2-for-5, while senior infielder
Grant Smith delivered a two-run base hit in the eighth when the Golden Knights trailed 3-0.
Aside from Keenan; junior
Daniel Marshall finished 2-for-4 with a triple, a base hit and an RBI to lead the Saint Rose attack.
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights are scheduled to play their Northeast-10 Conference opener one week from Tuesday, March 22; against visiting Southern Connecticut State. First pitch is set for 3:30 pm at Bob Bellizzi Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex.
