SCOUTING #8 SAINT ROSE (10-0-1/8-0-1 NE-10)
The Golden Knights are ranked #8 in the
NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Poll after spending three straight weeks ranked ninth. Saint Rose has had a week off, its longest layoff of the year, since defeating Stonehill 1-0 last Saturday.
The Golden Knights are second in the country with 4.36 goals per-game and stand sixth with a 0.264 team goals-against-average. Saint Rose has now outscored its opponents by a 48-3 margin on the year and has recorded six straight shutouts. The team has not allowed a goal since surrendering a last minute strike in a 3-1 triumph at Southern New Hampshire (9/11/11), a span that now stretches 540:23.
Sixteen different players have figured in the scoring column, including freshman forward
Brittany Barry and Puopolo who are among the nation's top-five NCAA II players in several categories. Barry stands second and fourth respectively in the country with 26 points and 12 goals, while Puopolo leads all players with five game-winning strikes thus far. She is also sixth in both points (24) and goals
(10).

The Hawks are winless in five straight, although they pushed top-ranked University of Bridgeport to the limit on Tuesday before surrendering a goal in the 73rd minute to suffer a 1-0 setback. Saint Anselm is still in search of its first road win of the year (0-3-1).
Junior forward Kaitlin Oldfield represents the top scoring threat for the Hawks, who come into today with the lowest scoring offense in the league (0.5 goals p/g). Oldfield has three strikes on the year, while sophomore midfielder Amy Millet and sophomore forward Lindsay Johnson each have one marker.
