Last Meeting (November 7, 2010)
Saint Rose scored three second half goals to upend visiting Franklin Pierce 3-0 in the NE-10 Championship match last November 7 at Sullivan Field. The Golden Knights scored three times within a 22-minute span and outshot the Ravens by an 8-2 margin throughout the decisive second period after a fairly evenly played first half. Saint Rose also generated eight corner kicks, and surrendered only one in each half to Franklin Pierce.
The Golden Knights earned their fourth straight banner thanks in part to senior forward Gianna D'Errico, and senior midfielders
Kimberly Morton and
Christina Cuffari who accounted for the three Saint Rose strikes, two of which were set up by Coco Ebersole. Meanwhile, Deanna Esposito came up with three saves and roamed her area with authority to keep Franklin Pierce off the scoreboard.
Scouting #17 Saint Rose (13-1-1/10-1-1 NE-10)
The Golden Knights, who are ranked #17 in this week's
NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Poll, chalked up a 1-0 victory at Saint Michael's on Wednesday to record their ninth shutout of the year. Saint Rose has been formidable on both sides of the pitch this season. The Golden Knights are second among NCAA Division II institutions with 3.79 goals-per-game and stand 26th behind a 0.63 team goals-against-average.
Sophomore forward
Carmelina Puopolo and freshman forward
Brittany Barry provide a dynamic threat up top. They are 15th and 20th in the country respectively in point production. Puopolo has 27 points via 10 goals and seven assists, while Barry has 26 points on the strength of 12 goals and a pair of helpers. Puopolo is also fifth nationally with five game-winning strikes. Cuffari stands 13th with a team-leading eight assists to her credit.

Jessica Gerski is fourth in the league with a 0.83 GAA.
Scouting Franklin Pierce (6-7-1/4-7-1 NE-10)
The Ravens are coming off of a 1-0 setback at Stonehill on Tuesday. It also marked the sixth time this year Franklin Pierce suffered a loss by a mere one goal. The trio of sophomore forward Talita Pereira, senior midfielder Tori Gikas and junior forward Amanda Panaro have combined for 17 of the Ravens' 18 goals thus far. Pereira leads the way with 15 points on six goals and three assists.
Senior keeper Jocelyn Leon owns a 0.97 GAA with 42 saves. The former ranks eighth in the conference.
