Box Score

COLCHESTER, VT – The College of Saint Rose recorded its ninth shutout of the year with today's 1-0 Northeast-10 Conference victory at Saint Michael's. The Golden Knights (13-1-1/10-1-1 NE-10), who are ranked #17 in the country in this week's NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Poll, scored in the 13th minute for the game's lone strike although they generated a 13-3 shots-on-goal advantage throughout the contest.

Senior midfielder Brittany Godin tipped home a cross off the foot of fellow senior midfielder Gianna D'Errico to provide the difference with her fifth goal of the year. D'Errico forced senior keeper Ashleigh Adams away from her end line and subsequently touched a soft pass to Godin who finished.

Saint Rose made its biggest push for an insurance marker during the opening six minutes of the second period when senior midfielder Christina Cuffari delivered two strikes and sophomore forward Carmelina Puopolo generated another that forced Adams to register three of her 12 saves on the afternoon.

Meanwhile, sophomore keeper Jessica Gerski recorded three saves for the Golden Knights who generated nine corner kicks, and yielded only a pair to Saint Michael's.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose returns home Saturday to face conference rival Franklin Pierce. Kickoff is set for 2:00 pm at Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex. The contest is also scheduled to be streamed live on www.gogoldenknights.tv. Meanwhile, the Purple Knights will entertain NE-10 foe New Haven at 2:30 pm that same afternoon.
