ORLANDO, FL.- The College of Saint Rose men's and women's golf teams commenced the 2023 spring season by hosting the inaugural Golden Knights Orlando Invite earlier this week.
The two-round invitational, which took place at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, FL., saw the Saint Rose men take third out of five teams, while the women placed fifth amongst sixth teams.Â
Senior
John Del Priore posted a two-day score of 148 (+4) to earn a share of for seventh place. Seniors
Jack Manning and
Connor Champoux recorded top-15 finishes for the Golden Knights as well, with Manning logging a 152 (+8) to take 11th followed by Champoux's 154 (+10) to tie for 12th.
On the women's side, senior Ericka Fuentes registered a seventh place result with a 154 (+8). Senior
Kaylie Klemme logged a 174 (+28) to finish tied for 21st.
The Golden Knights will return north to next compete in the American International College Yellow Jacket Invitational on April 3 and 4 in Bloomfield, Conn.
