ENICOTT, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose finished eighth at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship that concluded today at the par-72, 6600-yard En-Joie Golf Club.

The 54-hole tournament featured a pair of rounds yesterday and wrapped up with a single-round today, with the field playing the course to a 78.45 scoring average.

John Del Priore tied for 14th overall among 54 competitors to lead the Golden Knights quintet. Del Priore finished with a three-day score of 227 (+11).

John Russell followed for Saint Rose. The former carded a three-round 234 (+18), while Russell recorded a 238 (+22) to wind up tied for 31st and 38th respectively.

Connor Champoux and
Austin Hitchcock rounded out the Golden Knights group with respective 247 (+31) and 255 (+39) scores.

Overall, Assumption edged Southern New Hampshire by a mere four total strokes to successfully defend its 2021 title. The Greyhounds placed three players among the top-six finishers to claim the program's third overall NE10 Championship. Meanwhile, Tyler Birdd of host Le Moyne wound up with a 214 (-2) to grab individual medalist honors.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose will spend this week preparing for its own Fall Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Pinehaven Country Club in Guilderland.
