Guilderland, NY- The College of Saint Rose finished fifth at its home tournament, which concluded today at the par-71, 6,496-yard Pinehaven Country Club.
John Del Priore finished in the top 10 of the 40-man field, earning a share of 9th place with with a two round score of 153 (+11).
Connor Champoux came in just one stroke behind Del Priore in a three-way tie for 11th with a score of 154 (+12).
John Russell also finished inside the top-20 for the Golden Knights as he ended the tournament tied for 19th with a score of 160 (+20).
Jack Manning and
Zach Gregg finished T-26th and 29th, respectively, with Manning carding a 162 (+20) and Gregg a 165 (+23).
Austin Hitchcock rounded things out for the Saint Rose grouping with a 168 (+26).
Overall, Adelphi and Assumption University finished tied for first place with team scores of 603. Adelphi had an 8-stroke lead over Assumption following day one, however, Assumption carded the lowest team total of the two-day event, a 295 (+11), to tie things up with the Panthers at +35. Along with the first place team tie, Jack Moy of Assumption took home individual medalist honors with an overall score of 146 (+4).
Next up for Saint Rose is the Post University Fall Invitational at Watertown Golf Club in Watertown. Connecticut. The two-day tournament will begin Monday, October 11th.
