LOOKING BACK TO OCTOBER 14, 2019: SAINT ROSE CATAPULTS THREE SPOTS UP LEADERBOARD TO POST BEST FINISH EVER AT THE NE10 CHAMPIONSHIP

Results
VERONA, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose catapulted three spots up the team leaderboard throughout today's final round to post its best finish ever with a third place showing at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship.

The Golden Knights got there by lowering the school single-round record for the second time in as many weeks. They fired a collective 323 at the par-72, 5,822-yard Shenendoah Golf Course to edge fourth place Southern New Hampshire by a stroke with a two-day total of 660. The team's previous best NE10 showing was a fifth place finish in 2015 at Bretwood Golf Course in Keene, N.H.

"It's been a great fall. We've set school records and have improved every week. It's been exciting to see the improvement and emergence of our young players. However, I can't speak highly enough of our seniors who have accepted, mentored, and supported their new teammates. It's just been a real pleasure to be around," said head coach Scott Warren.

Three freshmen finished in the top-12 in a 37-player field to propel Saint Rose, which had four of its five competitors improve their scores from Sunday's opening round. Jenna Werle carded a 79 today to tie for seventh with a two-day 161 (+17) total. Kaylie Klemme and Erika Fuentes both came in the clubhouse one stroke behind Werle to post 163 (+19) and 165 (+21) totals that tied them for ninth and 12th respectively.

Senior Marissa Isabella shot an 84 today, three better than yesterday, to finished 27th with a two-day 171 (+27), while her classmate Audrey Jones carded back-to-back 89's to wind up 29th with a 178 (+34) total.

Overall, Franklin Pierce put four players in the top-10 to cruise to the team title with a collective 622, 27 strokes ahead of second place Assumption. Freshman Jinnapat Rittawee of the Ravens finished at 148 (+4) to capture individual medalist honors.
