NE10 Women's Golf Report: Week 4
MANSFIELD, Mass. –
Erika Fuentes of The College of Saint Rose women's golf team has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week for the period ending Tuesday, October 4. This marks the second time this season she has been recognized as such.
Fuentes, who owns a team leading 74.63 scoring average on the season, grabbed medalist honors for the second time throughout four events this fall by firing a two-day 148 (+4) at the Ithaca Invitational that wrapped up Sunday at the par-72, 5,642-yard RaNic Golf Club.
Fuentes stood second following Saturday's opening round 76 (+4), but carded an even 72 second round behind a pair of birdies and 14 pars to edge Ithaca's Rheanna DeCrow by one shot.
Looking ahead, Saint Rose is spending this week preparing for its own Fall Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Pinehaven Country Club in Guilderland.
