The Series | Saint Rose 18-5: The College of Saint Rose has won 11 of the last 13 meetings with the lone exceptions coming on this floor on January 5, 2011 and earlier this season.

The Plot: Both teams are aiming to advance to Sunday's NE-10 quarterfinal at #25 Southern Connecticut State.

Last Time Out: Defending Northeast-10 Conference champion and 25th ranked Southern Connecticut State put five players in double-figures and buried 48.0 percent (12-for-25) of its 3-point attempts to win its ninth straight with an 83-58 home victory against Saint Rose Saturday afternoon. Junior forward Chris Dorgler finished with 13 points and six rebounds to pace the Golden Knights in their regular-season finale. Freshman forward Jack Jones contributed 11 points and eight boards while freshman center Sam Eckstrom added 10 points. The Owls put themselves in control with a six minute, 18-2 jaunt at the 13:31 mark of the first half that transformed a 6-6 tie into a 24-8 advantage.

Last Meeting: Host Saint Michael's closed out a back and forth affair by scoring 21 of the game's final 28 points to upend Saint Rose 81-68 back on January 21. The Purple Knights helped their cause by shooting 54.9 percent (28-for-51) from the floor. The contest featured 19 lead changes and seven deadlocks, but Saint Michael's took the game's last lead, 62-61, when senior guard Mike Thompson finished inside with 5:58 remaining after junior guard Max Weaver and freshman guard Jamaal Greenwood knocked down back-to-back 3-pointers to afford the Golden Knights their final advantage, 62-61. Dorgler filled the box score with 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists to pace Saint Rose. Furthermore, Eckstrom finished 8-for-10 from the floor to tie his season high of 16 points in 23 minutes off the bench, while Jones added 14 points. For Saint Michael's, senior forward James Cambronne scored 18 points and senior guard Mike Holton, Jr tossed in 17.

Saint Rose in the NE-10 Championship: The Golden Knights have advanced to the NE-10 Championship in 14 of their 15 years of league membership. The lone exception was 2011-12. Saint Rose has made six semifinal appearances (2003, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2011, and 2013) and advanced to the 2007 Championship game, which Bentley won 71-61. Last season, the Falcons upended Saint Rose 93-79 in a first-round match-up in Albany.
