Biography

ABOUT DORGLER: Brings size and toughness to the mix…Has a nice all-around game…Missed most of 2011-12 and all of last season due to injury, thus was granted another year of eligibility…Enters the NCAA Championship Tournament 24 points shy of becoming the 30th player in the Golden Knights men’s basketball annals to record 1,000 career points.
 
AS A SENIOR (2016-17): Is stuffing the stat sheet with 10.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.9 steals per game…Stands second in the Northeast-10 Conference with an 87.5 FT% (77-for-88)…Has been in double-figures scoring each of the last nine games entering the NCAA Championship Tournament during which time he has averaged 14.9 points, on 51.3 percent (40-for-78) shooting from the floor and 68.2 percent (15-for-22) from beyond the arc…Has been in twin-figures scoring 15 times this season…Tossed in a season-high 19 points in an 85-68 victory versus Adelphi (2/8/17)...Named to the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll in recognition of academic excellence for the fall semester.

AS A SENIOR (2014-15): Named to  the NE10 Academic All-Conference Team for outstanding athletic and academic performance…Named to NABC Honors Court for the third straight year for outstanding academic achievement…Named to the NE10 weekly honor roll (12/22/14 and 2/9/15)…Selected to the NE10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in recognition of outstanding academic achievement for both the fall and spring semesters…Finished 6th in the NE10 in assists (118) and 12th in A:TO ratio (1.7)…Averaged 11.6 points and 5.4 rebounds…Shot 41.7 percent (40-for-96) from the arc.
 
AS A JUNIOR (2013-14): Appeared in all 27 contests and made 11 starts…Averaged 5.2 points, and 3.3 rebounds throughout 20.7 minutes of playing time…Was in double-figures scoring five times…Tossed in a season-high 16 points and pulled downed a season best 10 rebounds to go along with five assists in a 110-107 (OT) setback to visiting NE10 rival Southern New Hampshire (1/18/14)…Had eight points and seven boards during an 82-73 win at American International (2/6/14)…Finished with 13 points and four rebounds throughout a 76-65 loss at Southern Connecticut State (12/4/13)…Handed out a season-high six assists and scored eight points in a 96-63 victory versus Felician (11/16/13)…Named to the NABC Honors Court for superlative academic achievement…Also selected to the NE10 Commissioner Honor for both the fall and spring semesters in recognition of academic excellence.
 
AS A FRESHMAN (2012-13): Appeared in all 29 games as a reserve…Averaged 6.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and finished 15th in the NE10 with a team-leading 1.4 steals per-game…Was in double-figures scoring on six occasions…Had five games with at least three steals…Hit a put-back jumper at the buzzer to lead the Golden Knights to a 68-67 victory (2OT) at Adelphi (2/13/13)…Wound up with a season-high 19 points and 10 rebounds for his first career “double-double” in that game…Tossed in 14 points on 5-for-8 shooting from the floor in an 83-69 win versus New Haven (11/14/12)…Finished with 11 points and a career-high five steals in a 65-56 victory at Saint Michael’s (1/26/13)…Also had 11 points in a 78-65 setback to visiting Franklin Pierce (2/2/13)…Scored 14 points and pulled down eight boards in just 21 minutes during a 78-60 loss at Southern Connecticut State (2/10/13)…Had 10 points in a 63-58 defeat at Assumption (2/20/13)…Named to the NE-10 Commissioners Honor Roll for both the fall and spring semesters.
 
AS A FRESHMAN (2011-12): Appeared in six games and played a total of 34 minutes before missing the rest of the year with an injury…Made his last appearance in an 60-56 setback at NE-10 rival Adelphi (11/30/11)…Hit a pair of free throws to score his first collegiate points in an 83-82 (OT) season-opening loss to visiting Concordia (11/12/11)…Also scored two points during an 80-73 (OT) setback at New Haven (11/16/11)…Named to the NE10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for both the fall and spring semesters in recognition of academic excellence.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Team captain and MVP for the Stanners…CHSSA first-team All-Queens selection and an All-City Honorable Mention pick.
