The Series | Saint Rose 23-9: The College of Saint Rose owns a commanding lead in the series although the Dolphins have won the last two meetings, both in Syracuse.
 
The Plot: Saint Rose is aiming to win its fourth straight, while Le Moyne is looking to snap a two-game skid.
 
Last Time Out: Saint Rose shot a season-best 57.4 percent (31-for-54) from the floor and outrebounded visiting Pace 35-25 en route to Wednesday's 83-54 victory. Freshman forward Jack Jones went 7-for-7 from the arc on the way to a season-high 27 points to go along with 10 rebounds for his first career double-double. Fellow freshman forward Julian Lipinski contributed 10 points, while freshman guard Jamaal Greenwood and freshman center Sam Eckstrom added nine points apiece for the Golden Knights who had nine different players figure in the scoring column. Saint Rose was up 17-4 eight minutes in following a Jones layup and doubled the Setters scoring output with a 42-21 halftime lead. They eventually boosted their cushion to 37 points, 83-46, in the final four minutes.
 
Last Meeting: Saint Rose suffered its first loss of the season with a 66-51 setback on November 22 in Syracuse. The Golden Knights were held to 37.0 percent (17-for-46) shooting. Lipinski tossed in a season-high 13 points in 24 minutes off the bench to lead Saint Rose. Senior guard Max Weaver and freshman forward Anthony Russell added nine and eight points respectively. Meanwhile, senior guard Nate Gause scored 19 of his game-high 28 points in the second half and sophomore forward Stan Buczek finished with 16 for the Dolphins, who held a double-digit lead throughout the final 18 minutes.
 
Upstate Challenge: The fourth edition of the year-long Upstate Challenge rivalry series stands tied at 5.0-5.0. The Golden Knights have earned points in men's cross country, women's soccer, men's and women's swimming and diving, and women's volleyball. Meanwhile, the Dolphins have secured points in women's cross country, men's golf, men's soccer and women's tennis; and have earned one-half point in both men's and women's basketball.
 
Scouting Saint Rose (8-16/6-11 NE-10): Saint Rose has won three straight, which ties it season-opening three-game stretch…The Golden Knights have gotten out to quick starts in each of their last three outings…The Golden Knights got ou to 15-0, 22-9 and 17-4 starts in their last three contests respectively…Saint Rose has furthermore held those three opponents to 48.0 points per-game on 32.9 percent shooting (51-for-155) from the field…The Golden Knights have also outscored them 44-28 from the foul line…Greenwood was named the NE-10 Spalding Rookie of the Week on Monday after he averaged 18.0 points throughout the two victories a week ago...He is the third Saint Rose player, in addition to Jones and fellow freshman forward Jalaun Taylor, to be so honored this year…Four different players have led the team in scoring in its last six games…Five players average between 11.4 and 8.3 points on the year…Junior forward Chris Dorgler is the squad's top scoring threat…He also paces the Golden Knights with 4.3 assists per-game…Taylor averages a team-high 5.9 rebounds.
 
Scouting Le Moyne (14-10/8-9 NE-10): The Dolphins have dropped their last two and are coming off of Tuesday's 57-56 setback at New Haven…Junior guard Qwadere Lovell is averaging a team-leading 18.8 points and 4.6 assists…The Dolphins have made more free throws (306) than their opponents have attempted (303)…Freshman guard Russell Sangster and Greenwood were high school teammates at The Bullis School in Potomac, Md.
 
Up Next: Both teams are back in action this Wednesday. Saint Rose will head to Long Island for a 7:30 pm date at conference rival Adelphi, while Le Moyne will host Gannon for a 7:00 pm non-league tilt.
