The Plot: The College of Saint Rose is aiming to win its third straight, while Pace is looking to snap an eight-game skid.

The Series: Saint Rose 31-7 | First Meeting, 1991-92: The Golden Knights have faced the Setters more than any other team in their history. Saint Rose has won three of the last four encounters after dropping the previous three.

Last Time Out: Saint Rose held host New Haven to 29 points below its season scoring average and turned the ball over a mere six times to chalk up a 47-36 victory on Saturday. Freshman guard Jamaal Greenwood led Saint Rose in scoring for the second straight game with 13 points while freshman forward Jack Jones and junior forward Chris Dorgler tossed in 10 apiece. Dorgler also had nine rebounds and four assists. The Golden Knights led wire to wire although the Chargers were within six, 40-34, with five minutes remaining. However, freshman center Sam Eckstrom finished inside that pushed the lead back to eight, 42-34, with 4:29 left. Saint Rose then forced New Haven to come up empty on its next three trips up the floor and subsequently went 5-for-7 from the foul line throughout the final 1:19 to seal the victory.

Last Meeting: Saint Rose never trailed en route to a 61-43 victory in its league opener back on November 19 in Pleasantville. The Golden Knights limited the Setters to 24.6 percent (15-for-61) shooting from the floor, including 19.4 percent (7-for-36) from the arc. Dorgler recorded 11 rebounds and a career-best seven assists, in addition to 11 points, to spearhead the Golden Knights. Also, Eckstrom scored a team-high 13 points and hauled in six boards while junior guard Max Weaver contributed eight points and a then career-best nine rebounds. Freshman guard Evan Gordinier scored 15 points in 28 minutes off the bench and junior guard Shelton Mitchell had 14 points and seven boards to lead the Setters.

Scouting Saint Rose (7-16/5-11 NE-10): Saint Rose snapped an 11-game losing streak, the longest of its NCAA era (1991-92), with a pair of wins last week…The Golden Knights got out to quick starts in both games… Saint Rose led American International 22-5 midway through the first half and manufactured a 15-0 lead eight minutes in at New Haven…They turned the ball over a mere six times versus the Chargers, whose 36 points represent the least Saint Rose has allowed in its NCAA era (1991-92) and the fewest since the Golden Knights upended Bard College 99-32 during its 1987-88 NAIA campaign…Greenwood was named the NE-10 Spalding Rookie of the Week on Monday after he averaged 18.0 points throughout the two victories...He is the third Saint Rose player, along with Jones and freshman forward Jalaun Taylor, to be so honored this year...Also, Dorgler was named to the NE-10 weekly honor roll...Four different players have led the Golden Knights in scoring during the last five games
…On the year, Dorgler and Taylor pace the squad's scoring parade with 11.7 ppg and 10.3 ppg respectively.

Scouting Pace (5-18/1-14 NE-10) The Setters have dropped eight straight and are averaging a league-low 60.0 points per-game…Mickell and junior forward Kyle Pearson lead the offense via 16.5 ppg and 16.0 ppg respectively…The duo accounts for 52.9 percent of the team's scoring production…Pearson also hauls in a team-high 7.3 rebounds on a nightly basis.

Up Next: Both teams have 3:30 pm games this Saturday. The Golden Knights will play their final home regular-season game of the year and host Upstate Challenge rival Le Moyne, while the Setters will travel to New Haven.
