Senior right fielder Scott Hladik went 4-for-5 and drove in four runs at Le Moyne today.
Box Score

SYRACUSE–The College of Saint Rose and Upstate Challenge rival Le Moyne manufactured 29 runs on 26 hits collectively in a seven-inning rain shortened Northeast-10 Conference affair in which the host Dolphins eventually prevailed 18-11 earlier today. A make-up for the second game of the scheduled doubleheader has not been announced.

The Golden Knights got out to a 7-0 lead by the fourth inning, but Le Moyne (16-21/10-8 NE-10) tied it in the bottom half before countering a Saint Rose three-run fifth with five more runs. Saint Rose (13-27-9-14 NE-10) added one in the seventh, but Le Moyne tacked on six more in what proved be the final frame.

Sophomore center fielder Derek Reed and junior designated hitter Nick Venier had back-to-back doubles to lead off the third and then senior right fielder Scott Hladik and freshman third baseman Tyler Ungerland both belted two-run homers to afford the Golden Knights a 5-0 advantage. They then made it 7-0 an inning later on RBI base hits by Hladik and sophomore left fielder Chad Adams.

In the fifth, Hladik and junior first baseman Zac Bellinger each had RBI singles, which coupled with a Le Moyne error accounted for the three Saint Rose runs. Bellinger then added a run scoring double in the seventh.

Hladik finished 4-for-5 with four RBI and three runs scored while Bellinger went 3-for-5 with two RBI to lead the Saint Rose offense. Venier and Ungerland had two hits apiece as well.

Meanwhile, sophomore second baseman Brett Charbonneau and sophomore shortstop Dylan Swetman finished a combined 5-for-8 and drove home six runs for the Dolphins.
