Series: Saint Rose leads 8-5 | First Meeting: 2001

The Plot: The College of Saint Rose is aiming to snap a four game skid, while New Haven is looking to win its fifth straight.

Last Time Out: Host Southern New Hampshire improved to 5-0 at home with Saturday's 79-59 win versus the Golden Knights. The Penmen shot percent (30-for-60) from the floor and generated a 42-28 rebounding edge. Senior guard Max Weaver recorded his first double-double with career-highs of 15 points and 12 rebounds to lead Saint Rose. Also, freshman forward Anthony Russell tossed in a season-high 11 points in 13 minutes off the bench throughout the second half. Southern New Hampshire built a 13 point lead midway through the first half before going in the locker room up 10, 37-27, at the break. The Penmen then opened the second period with a 13-3 jaunt that put them in control, 50-30, with 15:32 to go.

Last Meeting (2/8/14): Saint Rose held off visiting New Haven en route to a 78-74 victory. The Golden Knights shot 51.6 percent (32-for-62) from the floor and went 6-for-6 from the foul line in the final 25 seconds to seal the win. Dominykas Milka scored 24 point and hauled in eight rebounds, while junior forward Tyler Sayre and Kareem Thomas scored 19 apiece and combined for 13 caroms. Saint Rose led throughout the final 35 minutes although the outcome was very much in doubt until the waning moments. The Golden Knights built an 11 point advantage four times throughout the second stanza, the last one coming at 66-55 with 8:47 remaining after Thomas knocked down a jumper and Sayre canned a pair from the line. However, New Haven responded with eight unanswered points to make it a one possession ballgame, 66-63, with 5:05 showing on the clock. The Chargers were within three on five ensuing occasions, but each time Saint Rose countered to keep it a two possession game. Senior center Eric Anderson paced four New Haven players in double-figures scoring with 25 points and seven rebounds.
