The Plot: The College of Saint Rose is aiming to remain unbeaten at home, while Adelphi is looking to pick up its first win of the year.

Last Time Out: The Golden Knights suffered their first loss of the season with Saturday's 66-51 setback at Northeast-10 Conference and Upstate Challenge rival Le Moyne. Freshman forward Julian Lipinski tossed in 13 points in 24 minutes off the bench to lead Saint Rose. Senior guard Max Weaver and freshman forward Anthony Russell added nine and eight points respectively. Meanwhile, senior guard Nate Gause scored 19 of his game-high 28 points in the second half for the Dolphins who remained unbeaten. After Le Moyne jumped out to a 7-0 lead, the Golden Knights clawed back to within a bucket, 13-11, when junior forward Chris Dorgler nailed a 3-pointer with 8:43 to go until halftime. Two minutes later, Lipinski knocked down another trey to make it 17-16 Saint Rose. However, Le Moyne countered with a 13-5 run that put the Dolphins up by seven, 29-22, at the break. They then scored the first four points of the second half and maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
 
Last Meeting (2/19/14): Saint Rose opened up a double-digit advantage in the opening seven minutes and never looked back on the way to an 81-66 home victory. The Golden Knights shot a sizzling 53.3 percent (16-for-30) from the floor in the opening 20 minutes to take a 20 point, 46-26, halftime lead that grew to as much as 25, 59-34, throughout the initial four minutes of the second stanza. Dominykas Milka recorded his 40th career "double-double" to pace Saint Rose. Milka scored 19 points, on 7-for-11 shooting from the floor, and hauled in 15 boards to go along with five assists and three blocks. Junior forward Tyler Sayre finished with 17 points while Kareem Thomas tossed in 16. Also, sophomore guard Mical-Ryan Boyd added 10 points in 15 minutes of reserve duty. As for Adelphi, senior forward Duane Morgan scored a game-high 27 points while junior forward Ryan DeNicola tossed in 14.
 
Scouting Saint Rose (8-7/5-4 NE-10): Saint Rose is aiming to improve to 3-0 at home…Four different players have led the Golden Knights in scoring in each of their four games…Six are averaging between 8.3 and 10.8 points…Weaver leads that group…Dorgler is producing a team-leading 7.3 rebounds, while freshman center Sam Eckstrom is averaging 8.5 points and 6.5 rebounds on a regular basis…The Golden Knights are fourth in the NE-10 in scoring defense at 63.0 ppg.
 
Scouting Adelphi (0-3/0-2 NE-10): Adelphi has lost all three of its games to date, but two of those have been on the road by a total of six points…The Panthers' other loss was a 10 point home setback to undefeated league rival Southern Connecticut State…Morgan leads five double-figures scorers at 14.3 ppg to go along with a team-leading 8.0 rebounding average, which is tied for fifth among the conference leaders…First year head coach David Duke is a '97 University at Albany graduate.
 
Up Next: Saint Rose will participate in the IRMC/Urgicare Classic at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania this Saturday and Sunday, November 29 and 30. The Golden Knights will meet Pitt.-Johnstown on Saturday at 2:30 pm and then face the host Crimson Hawks on Sunday at 4:30 pm. Meanwhile, the Panthers travel to Rochester Saturday for a 2:00 pm non-league date at Roberts Wesleyan.
