Northeast-10 Conference Southwest Division victory behind a second straight no-hitter for the Chargers pitching staff.

Val Nelson scored the lone run for the Golden Knights (8-27-1/6-16 NE-10), while sophomore right-hander
Anna Carey fanned two and allowed just one earned run throughout 4.1 innings of relief.
Senior right-handers Keri Tricinelli and Micah Stonesifer combined on the no-hitter for the Chargers (30-11/12-5 NE-10). Senior infielder Christina Gelardi went 3-for-3 and score two runs, while junior infielder Lindsey Couturier and senior infielder Lucy Francisco each drove in a pair of runs.
New Haven opened the game with a run in the first inning followed by six runs in the second to create an early advantage. Junior catcher Brooke Fisher led off the bottom of the second with a solo home run. Francisco capped the scoring with a two-RBI double.
Nelson ended the shutout in the sixth when scored after sophomore outfielder
Kari Bird reached on a fielding error. Stonesifer limited the scoring to just one run by producing two ground outs and a strikeout in the final frame.
Both teams are on the road this Wednesday for 3:30 pm division doubleheaders. The Golden Knights travel to Springfield, MA to face American International while New Haven meets Adelphi on Long Island.
