2012 vs. Southern Connecticut State (0-2): Host Southern Connecticut State put up a combined 19 runs and coupled that with a pair of solid pitching performances to sweep a doubleheader against Saint Rose last April 9 in New Haven. The Owls took game one 8-3 and then took advantage of five Golden Knights' errors to walk away with an 11-0 triumph in game two.
Last Time Out: Saint Rose could only muster one hit throughout the first six innings and thus Southern Connecticut State was able to walk away with a 7-0 victory in the opener on Saturday. Junior center fielder

Meanwhile, Southern Connecticut State sophomore right-hander Kelsey Cockrill faced just two batters above the minimum while fanning eight and surrendering only one walk to improve to 11-6 on the year. Junior first baseman Kelsey Marden, senior third baseman Alyssa Downs, and junior left fielder Julie Muscarella all had two hits and an RBI to pace the Owls.
