MANCHESTER, NH – Sixth-seed Southern New Hampshire was able to protect home court in the
Northeast-10 Conference Championship semifinals by upending tenth-seed The College of Saint Rose 81-62 earlier this evening, ending the Golden Knights (15-14) postseason run.

Dominykas Milka scored a game-high 24 points coupled with six rebounds and three assists for Saint Rose (15-14). Freshman forward
Tyler Sayre contributed 12 points while senior guard
Andre Pope shot 2-for-3 from beyond the arc to go towards his seven points.
Southern New Hampshire (18-10) shot an efficient 53.3 (32-for-60) percent from the field and had five players in double-figures. Freshman guard Rodney Sanders went 9-for-12 to finish with a team-high 22 points to go along with eight rebounds. Sophomore forward Elijah Bonsignore played 24 minutes off the bench to pitch in 14 points, four blocks and three steals.
The Penmen initially claimed a 15-point advantage at 21-6 barely six and half minutes into the contest. The Golden Knights broke out on a run of their own by coming within one point at 36-35. Pope and junior guard
Dan Mundweiler knocked down back-to-back 3-pointers to cap the run. However, the Penmen scored four answered points to go into halftime up 40-35.
Southern New Hampshire then opened the first 1:48 of the second half with a 7-0 spurt that made it a 47-35 ballgame. Saint Rose responded with nine strtaight points to cut the Penmen lead to 47-44 following a Milka layup.
From there, the Penmen outscored Saint Rose 34-18 throughout the final 14 minutes.
Southern New Hampshire will now visit fourth-seed Franklin Piece in the NE-10 Championship Final this Saturday at 1:00 pm in Rindge, NH. The Ravens advanced with tonight's 71-68 triumph at top-seed Saint Anselm.
