CLERMONT, FL – The College of Saint Rose resumed play at the NTC games in Clermont, FL with two night games; first falling on the final play to Cedarville, 4-3, followed by a six-inning, 12-4 loss to the University of the Sciences.

Amber Loussedes got the scoring started in the first game against Cedarville (4-3) with consecutive stolen bases that led to a 1-0 advantage for the Golden Knights (0-4). The Yellow Jackets then answered with two runs in the bottom of the first before sophomore infielder

Olivia Reeves in the fourth inning to knot the game at two runs a piece.
Cedarville claimed victory in the bottom of the seventh as freshman pinch runner Katie Daniels scored on an error by Saint Rose clinch a 4-3 win for the Yellow Jackets.
In the nightcap, the University of the Sciences (1-0) was able to produce 12 runs on 11 hits and four errors on the part of the Golden Knights. After infielder
Danielle Brusca tied the game at 4-4 in the bottom of the fourth inning with an RBI single that plated Loussedes, the Devils scored eight unanswered runs to force a six-inning affair.
Freshman right-hander Cassie Lapotsky drove in three runs and scored two runs at the plate while pitching all six innings to be credited with the win after striking out three and only giving up three earned runs.
Brusca finished 2-for-2 from the dish with a walk, a run scored, and an RBI for Saint Rose as Reeves added an RBI hit and a stolen base.
Saint Rose returns to action in Clermont on Wednesday after an off day on Tuesday. The Golden Knights will have a rematch with Cedarville beginning at 1:00 pm followed by a 3:00 pm start with Wilmington.
