The Plot: The College of Saint Rose is looking to improve to 6-3 at home, while the Warriors are seeking their first road win of the year.

Last Time Out: Saint Rose snapped a five-game skid and also defeated visiting Bentley after 13 straight losses behind Saturday's 74-67 Northeast-10 Conference victory. The last Golden Knights win against Bentley was on January 22, 2004 via a 91-79 victory in Waltham, MA. Junior center Dominykas Milka recorded 21 points, a career-high eight assists and eight rebounds to lead Saint Rose. Freshman forward Tyler Sayre pulled in a season-high 10 boards to go with eight points and four assists; while junior guard Dan Mundweiler tossed in five, 3-pointers on the way to 17 points. Freshman forward Tyler McFarland led Bentley with 20 points.

Last Meeting: Saint Rose rallied from a 19 point, second half deficit only to fall 63-56 at Merrimack on January 17 of last year in North Andover, MA. The Warriors shot 51.2 percent (22-for-43) from the floor, including 50.0 percent (7-for-14) from the arc, to overcome 17 turnovers that the Golden Knights manufactured into 16 points. Rob Gutierrez and senior guard Andre Pope tossed in 16 points each, while Sheldon Griffin added eight points and five rebounds to lead Saint Rose. Wayne Mack led four double-digit Merrimack scorers with 16 points and five assists.

The Series (Saint Rose 13-9):  Saint Rose leads the all-time series that dates back to the 1991-92 campaign by a 13-9 margin. However, Merrimack has won five of the previous seven meetings.

Scouting Saint Rose (8-7/5-6 NE-10): Milka is tied for fifth in the NE-10 in scoring with 17.3 points per-game. He is furthermore second in the country with an 11.5 rebounding average and is fourth nationally with nine “double-doubles”. Pope and Sayre are also averaging double-figures in scoring. Pope is scoring at a 13.5 ppg clip, while Sayre is averaging 10.3 points. Pope and Mundweiler are averaging 3.1 and 2.8 assists respectively. Milka has led the team in scoring in five of the last six games, including four straight. Pope continues to etch his name in the school record book. He is one 3-pointer shy of joining a group that consists of only six players who have drained 200 while donning a Golden Knights uniform.

Scouting Merrimack (7-9/4-7 NE-10): The Warriors have three freshmen who see at least 25 minutes of playing time. Merrimack is handing out 16.4 assists per-game, the second best mark in the NE-10. Senior forward Mike Clifford is averaging 15.9 points and 9.0 rebounds. He is thus one of only five players (including Milka) who are among the conference's top-10 in both scoring and rebounding. Freshman guard Gelvis Solano and senior forward Tyler Young are averaging 13.5 and 10.3 ppg respectively, while another freshman guard in JT Strickland is averaging 9.8 points and 6.1 assists. The latter mark places him second among the NE-10 leaders. Merrimack has dropped three of its last four and is 0-5 on the road this year.
