ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose has announced the 2012 season schedule for the men's and women's cross country teams. Looking ahead, the Golden Knights are slated to participate in seven meets that take place in three different states.
The season starts in Hamilton, NY on Saturday, September 1 when the Golden Knights are set to take part in the Harry Lang Invite at Colgate University. After a week off, Saint Rose begins a stretch of four straight weekends in action. That span begins on Saturday, September 15 in Nashua, NH with the UMass Lowell hosted River Hawk Invitational followed up by the Purple Valley Classic at Williams on Saturday, September 22. The Golden Knights women's squad captured first place while the men's team came away with a second place finish at the latter meet a year ago.
The next two weekends will be spent locally, as the Golden Knights will run at the University at Albany Invitational on Saturday, September 29 and then cap off the regular-season with the Saratoga Invitational on Saturday, October 6, that is being hosted by Rensselaer.
The Northeast-10 Conference Championships, hosted by Le Moyne, are set for Saturday, October 20 at Jamesville Beach State Park. This meet leads into the NCAA Division II East Regional Championships on Sunday, November 4 that are being hosted by UMass Lowell on a newly designed course in Nashua, NH.
