Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 COLCHESTER, VT – The College of Saint Rose struck for a combined 19 runs on 27 hits to sweep its 2012 Northeast-10 Conference regular-season finale at Saint Michael's College this afternoon. The Golden Knights capped the spring with four straight victories behind a pair of respective 10-2 and 9-1 triumphs.

Five different players picked up at least two hits for Saint Rose (16-27/12-18 NE-10) in the opener. The Golden Knights assumed control with three runs in the second and four in the third. Freshman catcher Brittany Banks got things started with an RBI double. Freshman center fielder Kari Bird singled up the middle to plate Banks and later scored on a passed ball.

In the third, senior third baseman Jessica Butterbrodt led things off with a solo shot. Senior shortstop Lindsey David added an RBI single and Bird drove in a pair via a single of her own.

Senior right-hander Courtney Galuski handled the rest for Saint Rose. She recorded five strikeouts and walked one over 5.0 innings to improve to 5-4 in the circle. Bird wound up 2-for-2 with three RBI and a run, while Butterbrodt finished 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run.

The Golden Knights strung together a season-high 15 hits in game two and seemingly put things out of reach with a five-run second frame. Butterbrodt belted her fourth home run of the year behind a two-run shot. David capped the outburst with a single to center.

Senior southpaw Sarah Arbogast surrendered three hits and did not allow an earned run for Saint Rose over 5.0 innings of work. She walked one and collected three strikeouts as well.

The top-five hitters in the Golden Knights' lineup combined to go 10-for-19 with seven RBI and a like number of runs to pave the way. Butterbrodt ended up 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs, while senior second baseman Kayla Kuilema was 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run. Sophomore left fielder Olivia Reeves belted her team-leading 11th home run of the year on the way to a 2-for-4 effort as well.

The Purple Knights (5-31/3-25 NE-10) received a base hit each from sophomore second baseman Amanda Brigante, junior first baseman Lindsay Houston and senior catcher Olivia Leclerc.
