ALBANY - The College of Saint Rose resumes its
Northeast-10 Conference slate this afternoon after being idle for seven days. The Golden Knights are scheduled to welcome Merrimack College to Albany for a league doubleheader at 3:00 pm. The start time was moved back due to the pending weather in the Capital Region.
LAST TIME OUT
Saint Rose saw a pair of seventh inning rallies fall short as the Golden Knights dropped a NE-10 twin-bill versus Assumption last Sunday. Saint Rose fell 7-4 in game one and suffered a 2-1 setback in game two. The Golden Knights trailed 7-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth when sophomore outfielder
Olivia Reeves broke the ice with a solo shot to left. In the sixth, Reeves struck again with a two-run blast and then freshman
Anna Carey led off the seventh with a solo home run of her own. Saint Rose was unable to muster enough firepower as Assumption senior Jennifer Lowery retired the final three batters to chalk up her eighth complete game of the year. In the nightcap, senior
Sarah Arbogast drove a two-out single down the left field line to bring the tying run to the plate, but the Golden Knights were unable to complete the comeback bid.
2011 vs. MERRIMACK (0-2)
The Warriors swept the regular-season series last spring. They took the opener 8-0 in six innings and then walked away with a 2-1 triumph in game two.
SAINT ROSE DIAMOND NOTES

Saint Rose is looking to snap a six-game skid against Merrimack. The Golden Knights last defeated the Warriors during the 2008 campaign when they swept the regular-season series.
