ALBANY - The College of Saint Rose softball team is set to host its second Northeast-10 Conference twin-bill in as many days as the Golden Knights welcome Assumption College to Albany this afternoon. The first pitch of game one is set for noon. 

LAST TIME OUT
Saint Rose smacked a combined five home runs on the way to a pair of Northeast-10 Conference victories over visiting American International yesterday. The Golden Knights walked away with a 4-2 triumph in the opener and then overcame a three-run deficit to win game two 8-3. Senior lefty Sarah Arbogast yielded five hits over the distance to register her first complete game of the season for Saint Rose in the opener. Meanwhile, sophomore outfielder Olivia Reeves jacked a solo shot in the first and added a two-run blast in the third to pace the offense. Freshman shortstop Marisa Bird contributed an RBI single as well. In game two, the Golden Knights picked away at a 3-0 deficit with two runs in the third. Reeves knotted it 3-3 with another solo homer in the fifth. Senior infielder Kayla Kuilema and junior infielder Rachel Reed had back-to-back jacks in the sixth to seal things.

2011 vs. ASSUMPTION (0-2)
The Greyhounds swept the regular-season series a year ago by respective scores of 7-3 and 12-6.

SAINT ROSE DIAMOND NOTES
Reeves extended her hitting streak to eight games by going a combined 4-for-5 in yesterday's twin-bill. Reeves is hitting .591 (13-for-22) with 10 runs, seven RBI and five home runs over that span. She currently paces the NE-10 in runs scored (19) and home runs (6). As a team, the Golden Knights are second in the conference with 14 home runs. They hit a total of 16 all of last year. Saint Rose is aiming to run its win streak to three games for the first time this season. 

ASSUMPTION DIAMOND NOTES
The Greyhounds' pitching staff boasts a league-best 1.34 ERA. They have furthermore surrendered one run or less in eight of the last nine games. Assumption has gone 6-3 during that span with four shutouts. Opponents are furthermore hitting a league-low .233. Lattal, Lowrey and senior right-hander Chelsea Durso have carried much of the load thus far. The trio is among the top-five in the NE-10 in ERA. Lowrey additionally registers 8.71 strikeouts per-game, which paces the conference.

CANCER AWARENESS DAY
Softball team members will wear pink jerseys and shoelaces in support of breast cancer awareness during today's doubleheader. Furthermore, the bases on the softball diamonds will be painted pink in honor of the day. Donation stations will be located at the field and color coordinated balloons will line the complex as well.

UP NEXT
Both clubs are idle until Wednesday afternoon when they resume their league schedules. Saint Rose heads to Southern Connecticut State University, while Assumption plays host to the University of New Haven. Both contests will start at 3:00 pm
