ALBANY - The College of Saint Rose opens its 2012 home slate this afternoon when the Golden Knights welcome Post University to Albany for a non-conference doubleheader. Game one is set to begin at 2:00 pm from Cathy Cummings Haker Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex. The two teams met just 10 days ago in Florida where Saint Rose came away with an 11-9 triumph.

Saint Rose capped its stay in Florida with a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader versus Stonehill College Saturday afternoon. Reeves is one of five players who have scored a league-leading nine runs thus far. She is also fourth in the NE-10 with a team-best eight RBI. Meanwhile, classmate
Amber Loussedes is tied for 10th with a .400 batting average (10-for-25). Sputo has registered 31 strikeouts in 34.0 innings to lead the Saint Rose pitching staff.
Post Diamond Notes
Post has been led offensively by junior infielder Lianna May and DeMartino. May is hitting a team-best .353 (12-for-34) with six runs, five RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Meanwhile, DeMartino owns a .300 average (9-for-30). She has furthermore driven home six runs and belted three doubles. In the circle, Cummings has chalked up a 3.40 ERA throughout 35.0 innings of work. She has recorded 29 strikeouts and tossed two complete games in six starts.
