Junior guard Andre Pope led the way for the Golden Knights with 20 points and nine rebounds, while sophomore forward Dominykas Milka recorded a “double-double” behind 15 points and a career-high 12 boards throughout 25 minutes off the bench.

Freshman guard Rob Mabrey paced a balanced Saint Anselm (3-8/1-6 NE-10) attack with 13 points, six rebounds and four assists. Senior forward Jack Keough tossed in a dozen points, while sophomore forward Allen Harris and sophomore guard Dino Mallios finished with 11 each.

The Hawks used a 26-8 run that bridged a 14-minute span throughout the two halves to assume control behind a 46-30 advantage with 14:28 left to play.

Sophomore guard Kareem Thomas gave the Golden Knights (1-11/1-7 NE-10) their final lead, 22-20, with 8:10 to go until the break by converting a layup while being fouled. The Hawks then held Saint Rose to a pair of field goals the rest of the way to assume a 34-26 halftime lead that they expanded to 16 points after Harris finished in the paint.

Saint Rose made one final thrust to get within six with 2:28 left in the ballgame when junior guard Anthony Robustiano knocked down a trey and senior guard Rob Gutierrez converted a layup. However, Saint Anselm took care of business by going 11-for-12 from the foul line down the stretch.

Looking ahead, the Golden Knights return home Saturday for a 3:30 pm conference game versus Stonehill. The Hawks on the other hand get right back at it Thursday when they are set to host NE-10 rival Saint Michael's at 7:30 pm.
