Box Score RINDGE, NH – The College of Saint Rose men's basketball team was held without a field goal over the final 5:55 of the first half, which allowed host Franklin Pierce University to complete a decisive 10-1 run and thus defeat the Golden Knights 70-55 in a Northeast-10 Conference game today at The Fieldhouse. Saint Rose slipped to 1-8 on the road, while the Ravens snapped a 16-game losing streak against the Golden Knights.

Dominykas Milka led Saint Rose (3-16/3-12 NE-10) with 14 points in 26 minutes off the bench. Meanwhile, senior forward
Brian Hanuschak delivered 12 points and five boards.
Freshman forward Ryen Vilmont led a balanced attack for Franklin Pierce (14-5/10-5 NE-10) with 21 points, via 5-for-7 shooting from the arc. Sophomore guard Ellis Cooper and senior center Adedamola Abu finished with 12 points apiece as nine Ravens found the scoring column this afternoon.
Franklin Pierce got out of the gates quickly and jumped out to a 23-11 advantage after sophomore forward Igor Lebov finished in the paint with 11:32 left in the first period. Saint Rose did not go away, however, as Milka sparked a 13-3 surge that got the Golden Knights to within a pair, 26-24. Junior guard

Saint Rose was still within a bucket, 29-27, with 5:55 left until the break, but Cooper buried a jumper and the Ravens proceeded to score 10 of the next 11 points to walk into the locker room up 39-28. The Golden Knights managed just a free throw by sophomore guard

The start of the second half virtually mirrored the opening frame. Franklin Pierce outscored Saint Rose 18-11 over the first eight minutes to take its largest lead of the game, 57-39. Hanuschak then spearheaded an 11-3 jaunt to cut the Golden Knights' deficit to 10, 60-50, at the 5:22 mark. They could get no closer thanks to Vilmont, who nailed a deep ball at the other end and then finished off a feed from Cooper to again put the Ravens in control.
Franklin Pierce held a 34-26 margin on the glass, which allowed them to generate a sizeable 21-7 advantage in second chance points. The Ravens also knocked down nine, 3-pointers in the contest as opposed to just three for Saint Rose, all in the first half.
Both teams resume their NE-10 schedules Tuesday night with a pair of road dates. The Golden Knights head to Syracuse to meet Le Moyne College in the 'Upstate Challenge'. Franklin Pierce will travel to Stonehill College in a battle between two of the league's top-four teams in the standings. Game time is set for 7:30 pm at both venues.
