The Plot: The College of Saint Rose is looking to avenge last year's 66-55 setback at Saint Michael's, while the Purple Knights are aiming to get back on the winning track following Tuesday's 75-65 loss to New Haven.

Last Time Out: Saint Rose rallied from a 19 point, second half deficit only to fall 63-56 to host Merrimack Tuesday night in North Andover, MA. The Warriors shot 51.2 percent (22-for-43) from the floor, including 50.0 percent (7-for-14) from the arc, to overcome 17 turnovers that Saint Rose manufactured into 16 points.

Senior guard Rob Gutierrez and junior guard Andre Pope tossed in 16 points each, while senior forward Sheldon Griffin added eight points and five rebounds, and also tied his career-high with three steals to lead the Golden Knights. Senior guard Wayne Mack led four double-digit Merrimack scorers with 16 points and five assists.

Last Meeting: A prolonged scoring drought coupled with 17, first half turnovers created a deficit that Saint Rose could not overcome in a 66-55 loss at Saint Michael's on January 5 of last season in Colchester, VT.

The Golden Knights were held to a pair of field goals during the final 10 minutes of the opening period that put them in arrears, 27-19, at the break. They found their stride a bit throughout the initial 12 minutes of the second half that allowed them to pull to within five, 50-45, with 7:54 remaining after sophomore center Dominykas Milka drained a pair of free throws. However, the Purple Knights countered with a 12-3 run throughout the ensuing six minutes that put them in the driver's seat, 62-48.

Senior forward Brian Hanuschak paced the Golden Knights with 18 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore guard Michael Holton, Jr. led a quartet of Saint Michael's players in double-figures scoring. Holton tossed in 14 points, while junior forward Travis Warech had 13 via 5-for-6 shooting from the floor.

The Series: Saint Rose leads the all-time series that dates back to the 1999 NCAA Tournament by a 15-4 margin. Last year's setback in Colchester marked the first Golden Knights loss in the previous nine meetings between the two schools.
