ALBANY - The College of Saint Rose looks to remain unbeaten at home (7-0) when the Golden Knights host Southern New Hampshire University in a Northeast-10 Conference contest at 5:30 pm tonight at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium. Saint Rose is coming off of Saturday's 69-52 win versus Stonehill College. Meanwhile, the Penmen are receiving votes in the latest USA Today ESPN Division II Poll following their 77-54 victory at #20 Assumption College on Saturday.

The Series
Tonight marks the 20th meeting between the two clubs that first met in Albany on December 27, 1994. Saint Rose owns a 13-6 lead in the all-time series, including a 9-1 mark at home. Over the past five outings, each squad has won on its home floor. Southern New Hampshire most recently came away with a 66-59 victory in Manchester last January 13.

Home Sweet Home
The Golden Knights have found great success at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium since its renovation prior to the 2004-05 season. Saint Rose has posted a 74-24 home slate for a .755 winning percentage. Furthermore, the Golden Knights have defeated five ranked opponents on their home floor, including twice last season.

Scouting Saint Rose (9-4/6-3 NE-10)
The Golden Knights are unbeaten at home (7-0) so far this season. Saint Rose owns a +17.1 scoring margin at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium where the Golden Knights are surrendering a mere 48.4 points per-game. Opponents are furthermore shooting just 30.4 percent from the floor in Albany. Saint Rose possesses the top scoring defense in the league at this juncture. The Golden Knights yield just 51.3 points per-game as opponents are shooting a league-worst 31.5 percent from the floor and 24.5 percent from the arc against them. Saint Rose has held nine opponents to 55 points or less so far. The Golden Knights additionally pace the NE-10 in blocks (5.4 bpg). Five players are contributing at least 5.0 points per-game led by senior guard Ashley Rath, who tosses in 18.0 points on a regular basis for the fourth-highest scoring average in the league. Rath is also shooting 41.0 percent (34-for-83) from the arc and 84.7 percent (50-for-59) from the stripe. She ranks fourth and ninth in the conference in both categories. Scouting So. New Hampshire (12-3/7-2 NE-10)
The Penmen easily took care of Assumption 77-54 on Saturday afternoon on the road. The Greyhounds entered the contest ranked #15 in the USA Today ESPN Division II Poll. SNHU has won three in a row and six of its past seven heading into tonight. Senior guard Christine Duffy continues to rank second nationally with 7.2 assists per-game. She is currently third on the all-time list with 476 career helpers. Junior guard Michelle DeRoma leads a balanced scoring attack that features six players averaging at least 5.0 ppg. DeRoma tosses in 11.1 points on a regular basis.

Both clubs return to action Saturday with a pair of 1:30 pm league games on the schedule. Saint Rose heads to #9 Bentley University, while SNHU returns home to host the University of New Haven.
