WOMEN'S BASKETBALL RETURNS TO NCAA TOURNAMENT AS #3 SEED IN THE EAST REGION

ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint women's basketball team has earned a berth in the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship for the first time since the 2010-11 season.

The Golden Knights and Northeast-10 Coach of the Year Will Brown will enter the tournament as the third seed in the East Region, where Saint Rose will match up with Daemen, the six seed, in first-round action on Friday at 12:00 pm at the Dana Center on the campus of Bentley in Waltham, Mass.

This is 12th time that Saint Rose has been included in the NCAA bracket. The Golden Knights hold an overall record of 7-11 record in 18 NCAA tournament games, with their last NCAA victory coming against Bentley in the Sweet 16 of the 1999-2000 season.

Voted to finish 11th out of 12 teams in the NE10 preseason coach's poll, the Golden Knights finished third in the league this season behind a 21-6 record, which is the most wins the program has accumulated since 2010-11.
