ABOUT SHAJUYIGBE: Transferred from Saint Peter’s College following her freshman year in 2007-08…Superlative defender…Likes to get to the rim, but can also shoot the ‘three’…Played AAU basketball for the Albany Capitals.

AS A JUNIOR: Played in all 29 games…One of four players that averaged 30-plus minutes of playing time…Second on the squad in scoring (12.3 ppg)…Wound up third in the league behind an .833 (85-for-102) free throw percentage, which also represents the fourth-highest single-season mark in school annals…Also shot .328 (43-for-131) from the arc…Hit double-figures in scoring on 18 occasions…Poured in a career-high 31 points via 6-of-9 shooting from deep in a 65-50 win at New Haven (12/1/10)…Tossed in 22 points to go along with eight boards in a 77-73 overtime victory against Merrimack (1/19/11)…Chalked up 21 points behind an efficient 9-for-13 effort from the floor in a 70-60 win over then #13 Bentley (1/26/11)…Contributed 19 points in a 54-51 triumph versus Pace (2/12/11)…Named to the fall and spring Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Rolls in recognition of academic excellence.

AS A SOPHOMORE: One of four players to appear in all 28 games…Also made four starts…Averaged 8.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in 19.5 minutes…Reached double-figures in scoring in 11 games, including five straight to close out the year…Had 19 points and eight boards in a 78-69 double-overtime loss versus Bridgeport (12/12/09)…Registered a season-high 21 points to go along with eight caroms in just 26 minutes to lead Saint Rose to a 65-57 victory over Southern New Hampshire (1/12/10)…Wound up with 16 points, four steals and three rebounds in an 87-84 triple-overtime setback at Bentley (1/26/10)…Tossed in 19 points and went 5-for-6 from the line in a 69-67 overtime loss versus Southern Connecticut State (2/20/10)…Named to the fall NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

AS A FRESHMAN AT SAINT PETER'S: Played in 14 games for a Peacock’s squad that went 19-12 and advanced to the semifinals of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Tournament…Averaged 2.1 minutes…Finished the year with four total points and five rebounds…Scored her first collegiate points in a 60-59 win versus Long Island University (11/12/07) behind a 2-for-2 effort from the stripe.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played volleyball in addition to basketball at Colonie…Won a regional and section II basketball championship with the Garnet Raiders…Also a member of the Suburban Council championship squad…Team MVP…Also honored with the ‘Best Defender’ and ‘Unsung Hero’ awards…Honor Roll student.

GENERAL: Best sports moment was playing against Shenendehowa at the Washington Avenue Armory in Albany…Listed LeBron James as the athlete she admires most…Said her father is someone who has had a great deal of influence on her…Enjoys being with friends and family during her spare time…Would like to attend law school following her Saint Rose career.

COACH HAAG ON SHAJUYIGBE: “Ola is possibly one of the most explosive players in the league. The fact that she can guard, shoot and get to the rim makes her very tough to defend. She has been both a vocal leader and has led by example throughout the preseason. Ola will be one of our primary scorers this year and likely draw the toughest defensive assignment for us.”
