GOLDEN KNIGHTS BEST NE10 RIVAL NEW HAVEN 64-53

ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose women's basketball team got the best of New Haven today, as the Golden Knights claimed a 64-53 triumph this afternoon in Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.

Sophomore guard Payton Graber and junior guard Syrita Faraj scored 16 points apiece to pace the Golden Knights offensively.

Junior forward Maddisyn Mahoney tallied nine points and sophomore guard Kaelah Carter netted eight points to help Saint Rose. Mahoney topped Saint Rose with four assists, while Carter provided three helpers. 

Sophomore forward Aniya McDonald-Perry registered a team-best eight rebounds to go alongside two steals. McDonald-Perry, Mahoney, and Carter had two steals each as well.

The Golden Knights led by 12 at the half after converting 13-of-25 (52 percent) of their field goal attempts in the first two quarters. 

A few early points to start the third quarter allowed the Saint Rose advantage reach 16, which marks the Golden Knights largest lead of the day.

Saint Rose forced 14 turnovers and limited the Chargers to under 35 percent shooting from the floor in three of the four quarters played today. 

Looking ahead, the Golden Knights close out the regular season with a 5:30 pm matchup at Southern New Hampshire on Tuesday.
