Northeast-10 Conference rival Southern New Hampshire tonight at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium.
Senior forward
Brian Hanuschak recorded a “double-double” to pace the Golden Knights (2-12/2-8 NE-10). Hanuschak tossed in 22 points, on 8-for-8 shooting from the floor, and hauled in 11 boards to move into ninth place on the College's all-time rebounding chart with 646. Junior guard

Saint Rose jumped out to an 11 point, 21-10; lead with 12:07 to go in the first half after Hanuschak drained a jumper in the paint. However, Southern New Hampshire scored 14 of the game's next 16 points throughout the ensuing three and a half minutes to deadlock everything 23-23 with 8:26 to go after senior guard Lucas Croteau canned a 3-pointer and freshman forward Elijah Bonsignore converted a pair of free throws.
The Penmen boosted their advantage to five, 30-25, with 7:00 remaining after Bonsignore finished in the paint. However, a jumper and a pair of free throws from Gutierrez followed by a Hanuschak tip-in capped an 8-2 Saint Rose spurt that put the Golden Knights ahead to stay, 33-32, with 3:48 left until the break. They then scored eight of the game's next 10 points to close out a 16-4 run that them up 41-34 at halftime.
It subsequently remained pretty much a two possession game for most of the second half although Southern New Hampshire drew even on two occasions a minute apart at the midway point and were within one, 60-59, with 3:56 on the clock. Pope then answered with back-to-back 3-pointers and Wilson banked home a jumper to put Saint Rose in the driver's seat, 68-61, with 1:49 remaining.
Southern New Hampshire (8-7/4-6 NE-10) has now dropped two straight after winning four of its previous five. Senior forward Tory Stapleton had 17 points and nine rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench and freshman forward Aleksandar Dobrovic added 12 points to pace the Penmen this evening.
