ABOUT BROWN: Top returning scorer…Brings a lot of athleticism to the floor…Is one of the top free throw shooters in the league…Solid defender…Can penetrate to the hoop and also knock down the outside jumper.

AS A JUNIOR: Started all 25 games in which she played…Compiled the most minutes on the squad (33.5)…Finished second on the team in scoring (14.2 ppg), 3-point field goals (41) and free throws made (77)…Wound up third in the Northeast-10 Conference in 3-point field goal percentage (.398) and was sixth in free throw percentage (.837)…Reaching double-figures in scoring 17 times, including eight straight games to close out the season…Registered a career-high 27 points in a 99-83 victory versus Southern Connecticut State (2/23/08)…Tied her career-high with five 3-pointers in the contest…Tossed in 26 points in a 59-53 win at Saint Anselm (2/13/08)…Layed in the game-winner at the buzzer to propel the Golden Knights over Wilmington 76-75 (12/29/07) to finish with 19 points in the contest…Named to the NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll three times (11/19/07, 1/2/08 and 2/23/08).

AS A SOPHOMORE: Saw action in all 30 games and earned two starts throughout the year…Averaged 5.5 points and 1.8 rebounds in 17.9 minutes off the bench…Finished third on the squad with 43 assists and knocked down .754 percent of her free throws (43-for-57)…Reached double-figures in scoring on six occasions throughout the season…Set a season-high with 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting at Florida Southern (12/29/06)…Dished out a season-high five assists versus UMass Lowell (1/3/07)…Pulled down eight rebounds to go with four assists versus Saint Michael’s (2/3/07).

AS A FRESHMAN: Played in 30 games for the Golden Knights in her rookie season, averaging 11.0 minutes off the bench…Averaged 2.6 points and 1.0 rebounds…Recorded 22 assists and eight steals…Converted 9-of-36, 3-pointers (.250) and 17-of-25 free throws (.680)…Scored a season-high 12 points at Pace (1/5/06)…Handed out three assists on three different occasions…Had two steals versus Le Moyne (2/26/06)…Went 4-for-4 from the free throw line at Southern New Hampshire (1/2/06).

HIGH SCHOOL: Was the 2005 Nassau County Player of the Year…Earned All-County, All-State and All-Long Island accolades…Named All-Long Island by New York Newsday…Earned All-County honors three times…Helped lead Elmont Memorial to a 20-2 record and the Nassau County Class AA Conference 2 Championship as a senior…The squad also finished second in the County Championships…Helped lead the Lady Spartans to the County Championship as a junior and to three consecutive appearances in the title game…Was named to the State All-Tournament team twice…Served as captain, started and led the team in scoring as a sophomore, junior and senior…Averaged 16.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per-game as a senior…Was a scholar-athlete and was named Elmont Memorial’s Female Athlete of the Year as a senior…Also served as a captain for the volleyball team.

COACH HAAG ON BROWN: “Dana has gotten better every year she has been at Saint Rose. She is strong and her quick first step makes her very difficult to defend, especially in the open floor. She takes pride in her defense and most nights will be called upon to guard the other team’s top scorer.”
