ABOUT ANDERSON: Solid frontcourt player who rebounds and runs the floor well…Can score inside and hit the mid-range jumper…Possesses a tireless work ethic.

AS A JUNIOR: Named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Academic Team…Finished second in the league in offensive rebounds (3.57), fourth in rebounding (9.0) and tied for seventh in defensive rebounds (5.46)…Started 27 of the 28 games she played in while averaging 28.8 minutes…Was fourth on the squad in scoring (8.5 ppg) and second in rebounding…Registered six “double-doubles” on the year and pulled down double-digit rebounding totals in seven straight games (12/22/07-1/16/08)…Scored a career-high 19 points in a 78-75 victory over Pace (1/16/08)…Also pulled down 13 boards and dished out three assists…Established a career-high in rebounds (16) in a 76-75 win versus Wilmington (12/29/07)…Reached double-figure scoring totals 11 times…Named to the NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll on four occasions (1/7/08, 1/22/08, 1/23/08 and 3/3/08).

AS A SOPHOMORE: Provided a spark off the bench after playing in 27 games…Averaged 3.0 points and 3.3 boards in 13.9 minutes of action…Also shot .493 from the floor and dished out 25 assists…Had eight points after connecting on 4-of-5 shots from the floor in the season-opener versus LIU-C.W. Post (11/15/06)…Tied her season-high with eight points and also added seven caroms at Merrimack (12/1/06)…Pulled down a season-high nine rebounds at Franklin Pierce (1/27/07).

AS A FRESHMAN: Named to the NE-10 All-Rookie Team…Made an immediate impact for the Golden Knights in her rookie season, playing in all 32 games and making five starts…Averaged 5.3 points and 6.1 rebounds…Also recorded 44 assists and 32 steals, which were both good for third on the team…Was fourth on the team with nine blocks…Recorded her first collegiate points versus Bryant (11/27/05), netting eight…Notched her first career “double-double” with 13 points and 14 rebounds versus UMass Lowell (1/14/06), going 7-of-9 (.778) from the free throw line…Posted another “double-double” with 13 points and 13 boards versus American International (1/24/06)…Scored a season-high 14 points versus Bentley (1/28/06)…Also turned away two shots against the Falcons…Reached double-digit point totals in five games and double-digit rebounds in another five...Handed out a season-best six assists versus Pace (1/5/06) and had a season-high five steals at Merrimack (2/1/06)…Earned NE-10 Freshman of the Week honors three times (1/16/06; 1/30/06 and 3/6/06).

HIGH SCHOOL: Ranked first in the Southern Maine Athletic Association (SMAA) with 13.0 rebounds per-game, was third with 16.6 points per-game and fifth with 3.8 steals per-outing…Was a top-10 finalist for the Miss Maine Basketball Award…Named second team All-State by the Portland Press Herald and Bangor Daily News…Earned SMAA first team All-League honors…Named to the SMAA All-Academic and Senior All-Star teams…Was a McDonald’s East-West Class A All Star…Graduated as her high school’s third all-time leading rebounder…Was also eighth in assists and ninth in scoring…Named a Portland Press Herald “Player to Watch” prior to her senior season…Poured in 18 points, grabbed 18 rebounds and dished out seven assists in a Western Class A preliminary game against Massabesic…Scored 25 points in an 80-38 victory over Bonny Eagle.

GENERAL: Enjoys listening to music…Favorite food is lasagna…Listed Candace Parker as the athlete she most admires…Would like to seek a master’s degree in education following her undergraduate career at Saint Rose…Caught the last out in the state championship softball game as a junior at Portland…Her brother Ed played baseball for Nebraska…Mentioned her parents as the people who have had the most influence on her…Said one of her best sports moments ever was winning the state championship in softball.

COACH HAAG ON ANDERSON: “Ashley has really worked on her game this summer. She is athletic, can get to the rim and is a very tough defender. She is becoming more assertive with the improvement of her ballhandling skills. I anticipate she will be our top rebounder this season.”
