Last Meeting (11/6/21 at Saint Rose): Oskar Aastroem scored the game-winner with less than three minutes left in the second overtime period to propel The College of Saint Rose to a thrilling 3-2 Northeast-10 Conference Championship Quarterfinal win against visiting sixth seed Le Moyne. The Dolphins appeared on their way to the victory with a 2-1 advantage in the final minute of regulation. The Golden Knights proved resilient though as junior midfielder Josh Elliott forced overtime by finishing a pass off the left side from sophomore back Lucas Malmquist with only 24 seconds showing on the clock. Saint Rose manufactured a 3-0 shot advantage in the first extra session and then Aastroem came through just when the match was seemingly headed to a penalty kick shootout.
 
Last Time Out: Saint Rose played to a scoreless draw Saturday afternoon against visiting 16th ranked Southern Connecticut State in what was the NE10 opener for both squads. The Golden Knights generated a 15-7 shot advantage, including a 7-4 differential in threats on target, and developed five corners, while yielding two on the way to their third straight shutout.
 
Head Coach Steve Wieczorek on Saturday's draw versus #16 Southern Connecticut State: "We battled and competed to the maximum today. I'm really proud of how we performed. A tie is probably a fair reflection of the game today. We're looking forward to getting back on the pitch Wednesday."
 
Scouting Saint Rose (3-1-1/0-0-1 NE10): The Golden Knights are unbeaten in their last four matches and have not surrendered a goal throughout the last 342:51 of action, which spans three-plus contests…They are ranked #7 In the East Region for the second consecutive week according to the latest United Soccer Coaches poll that was released yesterday…Senior keeper Ryan Henning was named to the NE10 weekly honor roll Monday after he made four saves in Saturday's draw with Southern Connecticut State…Junior forward Hilmar Halldorsson is fifth among the league leaders with seven points on three goals and an assist.
 
Scouting Le Moyne (2-1-1/0-0-0 NE10): Today marks the Dolphins' NE10 opener…They arrive in the Capital Region off last Wednesday's 1-1 tie against visiting Mercyhurst…Freshman midfielder Cameron Stewart struck for Le Moyne in the 17th minute, before the Lakers converted a penalty kick to level it in the 33rd…Stewart has accounted for two of the team's three goals to date…Graduate student goalkeeper Josh Mahr had played all 360 minutes between the posts…He owns a 0.750 goals-against-average.
