Last Time Out: The College of Saint Rose split at Northeast-10 Conference rival New Haven for the second consecutive day on Sunday at Frank Vieira Field. The Golden Knights rode an outstanding pitching performance to take the opener 1-0, before the Chargers scored 10 runs over their final three at-bats to win the finale 15-7. Sophomore right-hander Randall Alejo scattered three hits and fanned seven, without issuing a walk, over the 7.0 inning distance to pick up the win in the first game. Junior third baseman Tyler Osborne and sophomore catcher Derek Haughey both slammed two-run homers, while sophomore shortstop Jared Reed added a solo shot to lead the Golden Knights in the second game. Osborne and Haughey both wound up 3-for-5, while freshman left fielder James Ward finished 2-for-5 and drove in three runs. Junior right fielder Steve Sanders also had a pair of hits.
 
Last Meeting: The Mounties defeated Saint Rose 5-2 at the U.S.A. Training Complex in Cary, N.C. on March 5, 2020.
 
Scouting Saint Rose (19-23): The Golden Knights have won eight of their last 12…They are 7-2 when scoring 10-plus runs and 0-9 when their opponents do the same…Alejo was named to the NE10 weekly honor roll yesterday…He stands fifth among the conference leaders with a 2.81 ERA and is 13th with 54 strikeouts…Sophomore left-hander Carson Stewart has posted a 1.35 ERA throughout 13.1 innings of work that span 13 appearances, while junior right-hander Cameron Flynn boasts a 2.75 ERA in 19.2 innings over nine appearances…Haughey and Osborne both own five-game hit streaks…They lead the team (among qualifiers) in batting with respective .332 (44-for-132) and .313 (40-for-128) averages…Haughey paces Saint Rose with 28 RBI and an .889 OPS…Osborne has scored a team-high 34 runs and owns a team-best .406 OB%…Junior first baseman Jack McDonald has reached base in 18 consecutive contests…He is hitting at a .306 (44-for-144) clip and has driven in 24 runs.…Junior centerfielder Zephaniah Vaughn has driven in 24 runs as well.
 
Scouting Mansfield (20-22): The Mounties are members of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)…They arrive in the Capital Region aiming to snap a four-game skid after dropping three games to PSAC East rival Shippensburg this past weekend…Senior shortstop Assaf Lowengart and junior utility Brittain Shander lead the offense with .342 (53-for-155) and .339 (38-for-112) respective batting averages…Lowengart paces Mansfield with nine home runs, 38 runs scored, and 41 RBI…Shander owns a team-leading .486 OB% and has been successful in 12 of his 14 stolen base attempts…Senior right-hander Hunter DePrimo has worked a team-high 57.0 innings…He is 2-5 with a 3.47 ERA and 68 strikeouts.
 
Looking Ahead: Both teams close out their regular-season dockets with conference series this weekend. The Golden Knights host NE10 Southwest Division leader Adelphi on Friday and Saturday for a pair of doubleheaders, while Mansfield hosts PSAC East Division rival Millersville for a twin-bill on Saturday.
