Last Time Out: The College of Saint Rose split its two games at Northeast-10 Conference rival American International Monday afternoon to take three of four in the series from the Yellow Jackets. The Golden Knights bounced back from a 2-1 setback in the opener by winning the finale 11-0. They broke open the latter game by scoring eight runs over the final three innings.
 
Head coach Wayne Jones on Monday's split at American International: "We fought hard today and didn't let the first game affect our mentality. Our pitching and defense were great all day, while the bats came alive in game two."
 
Last Meeting: Saint Rose dropped both ends of a doubleheader on March 27 at Southern Connecticut State as the host Owls won the opener 10-4 and took the finale 17-4.
 
Scouting Saint Rose (11-14/4-3 NE10): The Golden Knights have now won five of their last eight…They have outscored their opponents 55-34 from the seventh inning on…Junior first baseman Jack McDonald has 13 multi-hit games on the year…Junior third baseman Tyler Osborne has reached base in seven straight…Junior right-hander Jared Restmeyer has surrendered just seven earned runs throughout his last five starts that span 31.2 innings…He has fanned 31 and walked nine throughout that stretch…McDonald leads the Golden Knights regulars with a .344 batting average, 23 RBI, 22 runs scored, and a .921 OPS…Osborne is hitting at a .342 clip, while sophomore catcher Derek Haughey is batting .310 with 16 RBI…Sophomore right-hander Randall Alejo is 1-2 with a 3.08 ERA, while Restmeyer is 4-2 behind a 3.74 ERA…Graduate student right-hander Anthony Amoroso has fanned 41 throughout a team-leading 38.0 innings of work.
 
Scouting Southern Connecticut State (16-6/3-3 NE10): The Owls are coming off Sunday's 6-1 setback to league rival Le Moyne in the opener of a scheduled twin-bill…The second game was suspended in the third inning…Freshman catcher/outfielder Billy Sullivan is the top offensive threat…He is fifth in the NE10 with a team-leading .393 batting average…Graduate student outfielder Andrew Eng has driven in 25 runs…Graduate student left-hander Nick Guarino is 6-0 with a 3.86 ERA, while freshman southpaw Steve Phillips is 5-1 with a 3.89 ERA to go along with a team-high 34 strikeouts over 37.0 innings on the bump.
 
Looking Ahead: Saint Rose heads to Rindge, N.H. for a doubleheader Saturday at Franklin Pierce while Southern Connecticut State hosts Adelphi for a four-game, NE10 series this weekend.
