FARMINGALE, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose cross country teams ran in the NCAA East Region Championship today on Long Island. The day saw the Golden Knights men finish 19th overall in the 10K competition, in addition to several Saint Rose women competing as individuals in the 6K.
Sophomore
Kyle Ostrander earned a top-100 finish for Saint Rose in the men's event, as he crossed the line in 35:23.50 to place 89th to top the Golden Knights.
Sophomore
Matthew Waruch took 112th (36:36.90) and freshman
Robert Deck claimed 117th (36:59.10) to round out the first three finishers for Saint Rose.
In the women's 6K, sophomores
Brooke Iannone and
Elizabeth Mattair clocked respective times of 25:01.90 and 25:53.70.
Southern Connecticut State claimed the East Region title on the men's side, while Southern New Hampshire took first in the overall women's team scoring.
