Golden Knights in the NCAA Tournament: Saint Rose's 2022 at-large selection sealed the program's first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Golden Knights watched together as a team on Monday night, as their name was called for the first time in school history.
Head Coach Steve Wieczorek on earning the program's first-ever NCAA berth: "It is an amazing and important accomplishment for our program to make our first NCAA tournament. I couldn't be more happy and proud of these guys. We have been focused and committed to accomplishing great things from our first moment together in preseason. We have earned this opportunity to perform on the national stage. It will be a challenge but one that we have proven to be up for!"
Scouting Saint Rose (9-4-4): Saint Rose finished third in the Northeast Conference with a record of 5-3-3….Five players from Saint Rose earned NE10 All-League honors, including first team accolades for junior forward
Hilmar Halldorsson, who leads the Golden Knights with 24 points…Additionally, Halldorsson's 11 strikes list second among all NE10 players…Sophomore
Tomas Rozman has started 13 games in goal and is top-five in the conference in all major goalie categories….The team's six shutouts this autumn matches program record that was set in 2019 and 1990...The 32 total goals scored by Saint Rose is the second-highest mark in the conference….Ten different players have scored at least once.
Scouting Notre Dame College (15-4-2): The eighth-seeded Falcons finished third overall in the Mountain East Conference this season with an in-conference record of 12-3-1…This will be the first time the Falcons have reached the national tournament since 2018…Notre Dame reached the Mountain East Conference Championship game but fell to top seeded Charleston 2-1….In 21 games, the Falcons have scored 56 goals, while holding opponents to just 18, giving Notre Dame the fifth-best goal differential in the nation….Sophomore midfielder Taylor Dyson leads the team with 36 points..Hiis 12 goals are second most in the MEC, while his 12 assists are also tops in the conference and tied for 6th overall in the country…As a team, Notre Dame ranks sixth across all DII team in scoring offense…Junior goalie Pedro Alves has been in net in 18 games for the Falcons (17 starts) and has a .86 goals against average and a .717 save percentage…Seven players earned All-Conference honors for Notre Dame.
Diversity: The Saint Rose roster features student-athletes from New York, Vermont and Massachusetts, in addition to Germany, Sweden, Poland, Denmark, Iceland, Australia and Brazil.
All-Conference Honors: Saint Rose is represented by five student athletes who hold places on the 2022 NE10 All-League Teams, which were selected by the league's head coaches…Halldorsson earned a place on the NE10 All-League first team…Sophomore back

Nick Koenig were respectively recognized on second and third teams after anchoring a Golden Knight defense that was fourth-best in the league with only 21 goals allowed. Offensively, Henriksen tallied a pair of scores, while Koenig was tied for second on the team with 13 points after totaling five goals and three assists…Junior forward Josh Elliot took third team honors after netting five scores and distributing three assists to match Koenig with 13 points….Freshman back
Nils Annborn was selected to the All-Rookie Team.
Going Forward: The winner of tonight's contest will move to face the top-seed of Super Region One, Franklin Pierce, on Saturday, November 12th at 6:00pm at Sodexo Field.
