Last Time Out: The College of Saint Rose opened up an early 2-0 lead in the opener and pounded out a season-high 14 hits in the nightcap to complete a doubleheader sweep versus Bryant and Stratton Sunday afternoon at the Schenectady Central Park "A" Diamond. The Golden Knights, who had their originally scheduled weekend series at Northeast-10 Conference rival Southern Connecticut State postponed due to established institutional and conference health protocols, scored a run in both the first and second innings to take the matinee 3-1. They then rallied from a 6-4, fifth inning deficit to capture the finale 9-7.

Last Meeting: The Yellow Jackets won two of the three meetings between the two squads in 2019, with each side grabbing road victories.

Jack McDonald have been the most proficient threats offensively…Pedone is tied for 11th among the NE10 leaders with a team-high .379 (25-for-66) batting average…Haughey and McDonald are batting .325 (13-for-40) and .322 (19-for-59) respectively…The former is 12th among the league leaders behind a .650 slugging percentage,…Haughey also paces the Golden Knights with 12 RBI…Senior right-hander
Frankie Pizzo tops the pitching staff among those who have thrown at least 15.0 innings…He is 2-1 with a 4.50 ERA and a team-leading 23 strikeouts throughout 20.0 inning of work.

Scouting American International (9-16/8-9 NE10): The Yellow Jackets dropped three of four to visiting NE10 foe Adelphi last weekend…Freshman first baseman Alejandro Mosquera and junior outfielder Brandon Gaul arrive in the Capital Region batting a team-leading .333 (21-for-63) and .301 (25-for-83) respectively…Right-hander Joe Pepe, a graduate student, is 2-3 with a 5.35 ERA.

Looking Ahead: The NE10 Championship Tournament Bracket is scheduled to be announced Saturday evening with opening games set for Tuesday at the site of the higher seed. The league has decided that each team will qualify this year to help offset the loss of games due to the pandemic. The top seed in each of the two divisions will draw an opening-round bye.
