ROSNER NAMED STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH

ALBANY, N.Y. – Benjamin Rosner has been named the Strength and Conditioning Coach at The College of Saint Rose. He will design strength and conditioning programs for all 19 intercollegiate sports teams, monitor student-athlete performance, and work with head coaches and sports medicine staff in setting performance goals and providing nutritional information.

"We are excited to welcome Ben to our team. He is such a talented, young professional and he will take our athletic department to new heights," said Lisa Geiger, MS, ATC, CSCS, Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine/Athletics Health Care Administrator.

Rosner comes to Saint Rose from The College of the Holy Cross, where he was a strength and conditioning assistant. He was the primary point of contact for the men's lacrosse, women's soccer, and men's and women's track and field programs. He designed the year-round strength and conditioning plan for the aforementioned programs, while assisting with football, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's ice hockey and men's crew as needed.

"Ben is one of the finest young strength coaches we have had. The combination of his knowledge, his ability to connect with student-athletes, and his tireless commitment to improvement will make him a great fit at Saint Rose. I know our student-athletes will miss him here," said Jeff Oliver, the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Holy Cross.

Rosner, who also gained practical experience at Harvard University and Elon University, is certified with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) and USA Weightlifting.

The Saratoga Springs, New York native holds a master's in exercise and sports science from Merrimack College and a bachelor's in psychology from SUNY Geneseo. He also has initiated work on a doctorate in physical therapy from Boston University.
